What We Do

Foundation construction, built around your project — not a template.

One crew handling excavation, forming, engineering coordination and the pour — and often the framing right behind it — means nothing holds up the schedule because two separate contractors didn't talk to each other.

Who We Are

25+ years of experience pouring foundations Bay Area inspectors sign off the first time.

Pro Home Foundation is a Bay Area foundation and framing contractor built for new construction — new homes, ADUs, additions and small commercial buildings. Most of our clients hire us for foundation and framing together, one crew from the ground up, though we also take on foundation repair, concrete flatwork and standalone framing work. Our team brings more than two decades of experience reading soil reports, coordinating with architects and structural engineers, and pouring foundations that pass city inspection without a callback. Whether you're a homeowner building your first ADU or a general contractor who needs a sub you can hand a plan set to and trust, we run the same process every time: confirm the engineering, confirm the schedule, build it right.

Why Choose Us

The details that actually matter when a foundation is holding up your build schedule.

Licensed, Bonded & Insured

We carry a California contractor's license and full insurance, so your project — and your general contractor's schedule — is protected. Ask to see our license and coverage.

We Coordinate With Your Team

Architects, structural engineers, general contractors — we work from your approved plan set and soil report, not our own assumptions, so the poured foundation matches what the city permitted.

Built For Bay Area Soil

Expansive clay, hillside grading, high water tables — we design and pour around the specific soil conditions your parcel actually has, not a generic flatland template.

On-Schedule Delivery

Foundation delays cascade into every trade behind us. Most clients book us for framing too, so we control that handoff directly instead of waiting on a second contractor.

Where We Work

Serving San Jose and the Bay Area.

Based in the Bay Area, working across Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda and Contra Costa counties and the wider region.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us

Both. Homeowners building an ADU or new home often come to us directly, sometimes before they've hired a GC; other times we're brought in by a general contractor or architect who needs a foundation sub they can hand a plan set to and trust. Either way, we work from the same approved plans and engineering.

A slab-on-grade foundation is a single concrete slab poured directly on graded soil — simpler and often less expensive. A raised (stem wall) foundation creates a crawlspace between the ground and the first floor, which some soil conditions, drainage situations or local codes require or make preferable. Which one fits your project depends on your soil report, site grading and design — we'll walk you through the tradeoffs.

For most projects you'll have a structural engineer as part of your design team already, and we build to their stamped plans. If you don't have one yet, we can coordinate with engineers we work with regularly to get you there — either way, we don't pour without an engineered plan behind the design.

Foundation delays are one of the most common reasons a build schedule slips, because every trade after us is waiting. Most of our new-home and ADU clients book us for framing too, which removes that handoff entirely — when they don't, we stay in direct contact with their framer and GC so the foundation is cured and inspected on time, not the bottleneck.

Yes — ADU foundations, including detached units on existing single-family lots, are a core part of what we do. We coordinate with your ADU plans and site conditions to size and place the foundation correctly relative to your existing home and property lines.

New construction is our primary focus, but we do take on foundation repair and seismic retrofit work for existing homes as a secondary service. If your project is a repair rather than new construction, tell us that upfront and we'll scope it accordingly.
